According to UATV: Estonia is prepared to consider the deployment of NATO nuclear weapons on its territory if required by defense plans, according to a statement from the country's Foreign Minister, Margus Tsahkna. He clarified that Estonia has no doctrine prohibiting such deployment, highlighting a readiness to adapt its defense strategy amid a worsening security environment. This stance reflects the heightened tensions in Eastern Europe following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

"We are not against having nuclear weapons on our territory," Tsahkna stated, emphasizing the critical role of nuclear deterrence in countering threats from Russia.

This issue is under discussion not only in Estonia but also among Baltic and Central European nations, which are actively engaged in dialogues to strengthen their defensive capabilities.
