Estonia will transfer equipment to Ukraine from its power plant.
Meeting of representatives of Ukraine and Estonia
Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolysnyk met with the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kristen Michal. They visited one of the damaged energy facilities in Ukraine that was attacked by Russian troops. Last time they reported that Kolysnyk familiarized the delegation with the consequences of the attacks and the current needs of the energy sector.
The Estonian side believes that it is necessary to combine efforts to restore and protect energy facilities in Ukraine. Since the beginning of Russian aggression, Estonia has provided Ukraine with 25 humanitarian aid shipments weighing approximately 400 tons and donated 400 thousand euros to the Energy Support Fund.
The possibility of transferring a power unit from the Estonian power plant to Ukraine is also being considered, which will supply electricity to 150 thousand people. In the future, the transfer of two more power units is planned for 2025.
