Estonia allocates 150 thousand euros for Ukraine's energy system ahead of winter.
According to inkorr.com: Estonia continues to provide financial assistance to the Ukrainian energy sector, especially ahead of the winter period when Russian attacks on energy infrastructure become more frequent. Estonia's Foreign Minister, Margus Tsahkna, announced the allocation of 150 thousand euros to support Ukraine's energy sector.
'We are now allocating 150 thousand euros to support the energy system and the Energy Support Fund,' emphasized the Estonian diplomat. At the same time, he noted that Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure continue, endangering the civilian population.
This is not the first time Estonia has provided this assistance. Previously, the government of Tallinn had already allocated around 700 thousand euros for the restoration and support of the Ukrainian energy system. Thus, the total amount of financial assistance from Estonia to Ukraine in this area has exceeded 850 thousand euros, which is an important contribution to ensuring the country’s energy security amidst Russian attacks.
In this way, Estonia emphasizes its support for Ukraine in the fight for energy security, as the situation in the region remains tense due to external threats.
