Tottenham denied a goal in the match against West Ham: fans outraged by the referee's decision.
Controversial referee decision in the Tottenham - West Ham match
According to The Sun: Tottenham Hotspur faced disappointment when their goal was disallowed in the match against West Ham. This decision, which surprised even Arsenal supporters, sparked numerous outraged reactions.

Cristian Romero scored a goal after a corner in the 19th minute, but referee Jarred Gillett quickly stopped the game, disallowing the ball due to a foul. Romero immediately ran to the referee, expressing his outrage along with his teammates.
Replays showed that there indeed was a push in the penalty area. In this episode, his teammate Mickey van de Ven pushed Kyle Walker-Peters, although similar actions occurred on the part of West Ham players as well.
Despite this, VAR did not recognize grounds for intervention, and the referee's decision remained in effect.
One Arsenal fan on Twitter wrote: “I’m an Arsenal fan and I can see that Tottenham have been robbed.”
Another supporter noted: “Horrible decision.”

Fans were surprised, with one commenting: “Oh, what a harsh decision! This completely derails Tottenham.”
Another expressed: “Is there a competition among referees to see who can make the most absurd decision each week?”
However, one supporter was pleased that VAR did not interfere: “It’s subtle, but there was a push, so it’s not an obvious mistake. I genuinely think the goal should have counted, but it’s nice that VAR isn’t just ignoring referees this season.”
Experts also believe that the referee's decision was incorrect. Jamie Redknapp on Sky Sports stated: “I don’t see it. I just don’t think it’s enough.”
Gianfranco Zola supported him by saying: “In my opinion, it’s insufficient.”
This case again confirms that this season referees have made controversial decisions more than once. The most notorious was the disallowed goal of Josh King in the Fulham vs Chelsea match, for which the club has already apologized.
