Eurobank allocated billions for the reconstruction of Ukraine: who will receive the funds.
According to inkorr.com: As of today, over 650 applications have been submitted for project implementation within the joint recovery programs of Ukraine with the European Investment Bank. The main focus is on frontline communities, as reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development. In particular, 331 communities submitted 677 applications. The most applications came from Lviv (60), Kyiv (53), Kharkiv (50), and Odesa (47) regions.
Funding Projects
"The projects cover various areas, including heating, water supply, medical facilities, schools, and preschool institutions, shelters in communities, and more. Financial support is provided for projects with a maximum cost of 5 million euros, and a mandatory condition is a community contribution of at least 23% co-financing," noted the Ministry of Development.
Activity of Local Self-Government
Deputy Minister Oleksiy Riabikin noted that the number of submitted applications indicates the active position of local authorities and the need for the restoration of critically important social infrastructure. Currently, 128 projects have already been approved for a total amount of about 4.5 billion UAH, which will be implemented with the support of UNDP in Ukraine.
The communities of Ukraine are actively participating in recovery programs, submitting applications for funding to restore social infrastructure and improve living conditions, especially in frontline areas. A number of projects have already been approved that have the potential to significantly improve the quality of life in various regions of the country.
These efforts are part of a comprehensive approach to restoration that includes financial support and active participation of local authorities. It is important that communities show initiative, as the speed and quality of the restoration of critically important infrastructures depend on their environment, which is particularly relevant in wartime conditions.
