Conflict Between Partners Poses a Threat to the FCAS Project

According to inkorr.com: The European initiative to create a sixth-generation fighter FCAS has come under fire due to contradictions between Dassault and the German side. The French company demands 80% participation in the project, which has caused outrage in Germany. The FCAS project was initiated in 2017 jointly by France, Germany, and Spain to strengthen Europe's defense capabilities.

The German Ministry of Defense accused the French side of blocking the defense program after Dassault's demands for control over the project. Jacob Ross, a fellow at the German Council on Foreign Relations, emphasized that Dassault would not gain control over the entire program, as there are other components, such as the combat cloud and others.

The conflict between French and German partners could negatively affect the development of European defense as a whole.

This conflict highlights the complexity of international cooperation in the military sector, where the interests of different countries often collide. If the partners cannot find common ground, it may delay the implementation of important defense projects that have the potential to strengthen Europe's defense capacity.
