Ex-England star Phil Jagielka’s son called up for different country as he shines for Hull after Liverpool exit.
Zach Jagielka makes his debut for Wales
According to The Sun: Zach Jagielka, son of former England international Phil Jagielka, has been called up to the Wales national team. He has chosen to represent a country not linked to his father.
Despite Phil having played 40 matches for the 'Three Lions', Zach has chosen Wales.

Yesterday, Zach was selected for the Wales U-19 team to prepare for matches against Austria and Belgium in September.
He already has experience playing for the Wales academy and aims to rise to the senior squad of the 'Dragons'.
In 2023, he was first called up to the Wales U-17 team.
The Hull striker continues to develop following his move from Liverpool last summer.
Zach left Liverpool's academy, where he played since 2021 at the age of 13, and joined Hull.
Father Phil posted the story of Hull's academy on Instagram, confirming the move, captioning a photo of Zach: “Go on Tiger!”
This versatile forward has become one of 12 players who signed a two-year scholarship contract for the 2024/25 season.
Coach Chad Gribble said: “I’m really pleased to have a new group of lads. It’s going to be a different dynamic.'
“There are boys from other football clubs who decided to join us, some of whom had several offers, and we’re pleased they have become part of our program.”
“This shows that the academy is developing and we can attract players from big football clubs who want to be part of our project.”
Zach's move to Hull mirrors the paths of former Liverpool stars Fabio Carvalho and Tyler Morton, who also recently played for the 'Tigers' on loan.
Phil Jagielka played 385 matches for 'Everton' over 12 years, debuting in the senior team in 2000 for 'Sheffield United,' helping the team get promoted to the Premier League in the 2006/07 season.
He made it to the Championship Team of the Season in 2005/06 and played for “Sheffield United”, “Derby County” and “Stoke City”, before retiring in 2023 at the age of 41.
This debut of Zach Jagielka for the Wales national team is a significant step for the young footballer who continues to follow in his father's footsteps but already on his own path. His successes in the academy and invitation to the U-19 team indicate a promising career that should be exciting for Ukrainian fans. Now everyone is looking forward to how he will perform in upcoming matches for the national team.
