Princess Bajrakitiyabha Mahidol, the eldest daughter of King Vajiralongkorn, is currently developing a severe infection.

The 46-year-old princess, affectionately referred to as Princess Bha, collapsed in December 2022 while training her dogs in Nakhon Ratchasima, northeast of Bangkok.

She has been in a coma ever since.

The Bureau of the Royal Household gave the first update on her condition in more than two years on Friday, saying she had suffered a “severe” blood infection.

The palace reported in the subsequent update that a team of doctors is closely monitoring her condition.

The doctors stated, “She remains in a state of low blood pressure, requiring constant treatment.

“Doctors are administering medication to stabilize her blood pressure, as well as medical equipment and antibiotics to support kidney function and breathing.”

Much more about Princess Bajrakitiyabha's condition has been reported than the palace discloses.

After her collapse, the princess was training dogs at a military service dog championship organized by the Thai army.
