The Prosecutor General's Office fired 74 prosecutor-people with disabilities: who is next.
According to ТСН: After sending prosecutors with disabilities for a comprehensive inspection to the KDKP, 74 individuals lost their positions.
Inspection Results
74 individuals have been dismissed from the prosecutor's office,
66 were removed from administrative positions,
290 disciplinary proceedings are pending consideration.
It is noted that, despite public expectations for harsh measures, each case is considered individually.
“After all, people with various illnesses have been working in the prosecutor's office for years, which rightly gives them the opportunity to use the corresponding status,” said Kravchenko.
Moreover, discussing the issue of fake disabilities, he believes that simply firing personnel will not solve the problem.
“There was a crime, and there will be a verdict. Several cases are already in court,” emphasized the Prosecutor General's Office.
In this context, it refers to the case of the deputy head of the Uman prosecutor's office and the former head of the Khmelnytskyi prosecutor's office.
“And now another prosecutor will be held accountable in court. After eight years of work as an investigator in Cherkasy, he resigned in 2019 and entered the National Academy of the Prosecutor's Office. At the same time, he 'registered' for disability. Quickly, without examination, the MSEC established him a II group with '80% loss of working capacity,'” said the attorney general.
For five years, he fraudulently received a pension while being supported by the state. In September, all participants in the scheme, including the prosecutor and MSEC officials, received suspicions. Now he is awaiting trial.
Earlier, hundreds of decisions of medical and social expert commissions (MSEC) regarding the granting of disability to officials were canceled in Ukraine.
“At the initiative of the SBI, as a result of inspections, over 800 MSEC decisions on granting disability to law enforcement officers and officials have already been canceled,” said SBI Director Oleksiy Sukachov.
These events highlight the importance of combating fake disability documents among public servants and law enforcement officials. The start of cases in court may set a precedent for further investigations, especially as society continues to expect decisive action regarding the punishment of illegal actions. Restoring trust in the disability assessment system and administrative structures is an urgent need to improve the situation in the country.
