Vasyl Lomachenko denies rumors about career ending

According to boxing insider Michael Benson, Vasyl Lomachenko decided to end his sports career. However, this information turned out to be false, and the account of the insider himself turned out to be fake.

Earlier, it was reported that the 36-year-old boxer was planning to end his professional career. However, Lomachenko has not publicly commented on this.

Benson had previously sold his account in X in Saudi Arabia, and then it was renamed to Ring Magazine.

The insider from the American sports channel ESPN, Mike Coppinger, reported that Vasyl Lomachenko is contemplating the end of his career.

In the summer of 2024, it became known that Lomachenko refused to fight Gervonta Davis. The boxer's manager, Egis Klimas, explained the decision, noting that Lomachenko feels tired and wants to spend more Time with his family. Throughout his career, Lomachenko has fought 21 matches and suffered only three losses.

Lomachenko's manager previously stated that a final decision regarding the boxer's career ending has not yet been made.

As previously reported, Vasyl Lomachenko's cottage in the town of Vilkove in the Izmail region was damaged during a drone attack. The boxer purchased this house a few years ago.

It is also worth mentioning that the IBF lightweight champion, Vasyl Lomachenko, previously expressed his disagreement with the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of a bill regarding the regulation of religious organizations' activities. He considers 82% of Ukrainians to be atheists.
