Fico blackmails Ukraine with refugees and electricity through Russian gas.
The Slovak government is preparing measures regarding Ukraine's decision to stop the transit of Russian gas, announced Prime Minister Robert Fico. He also noted that support for Ukrainian citizens in Slovakia might be reduced and electricity supplies stopped.
Fico claims that the stop of gas transit through Ukraine will lead to losses of 500 million euros per year for Slovakia. He calls this decision 'Zelensky's sabotage'.
According to the Slovak Prime Minister, on January 7, the government will discuss the issue in Brussels. A cabinet meeting and coalition council will then be held to agree on the relevant measures.
“On behalf of Smer-SD, I declare that we are ready to negotiate and agree in the coalition to stop electricity supplies and significantly reduce support for Ukrainian citizens who are on the territory of the Slovak Republic,” Fico stated.
It should be noted that since January 1, Ukraine has ceased the transit of Russian gas to several EU countries and the independent Transnistrian Moldovan Republic.
