Finland on security guarantees for Ukraine: what is known about the peace agreement.
According to inkorr.com: Finnish President Alexander Stubb announced progress in creating security guarantees for Ukraine, but emphasized that a peace agreement is necessary for their implementation. This was reported by Reuters.
'We are making progress on this issue and hope to find a solution soon,' noted the President of Finland. He also expressed cautious optimism regarding the possibility of a peaceful settlement or a cessation of hostilities between Ukraine and Russia in the near future.
Stubb also discussed cooperation with American partners: 'We need to synchronize security measures with the United States, which is ready to support this. We are working together with our military commanders who are developing concrete plans for the implementation of this operation.'
Although the U.S. government does not plan to send troops to Ukraine, it is prepared to provide air support and intelligence data as part of the security provision. The European Commission is also actively working on possible plans to send military contingents to Ukraine.
Amid the ongoing conflict, it is important to understand that the implementation of security guarantees without signing a peace agreement remains on the agenda. Cooperation between the U.S. and Europe on this issue promises substantial support for Ukraine, but real change is only possible through diplomatic negotiations and achieving peace.
