A new facility for the 'Kryukivshchyna' sports club, created by philanthropist Oleksandr Buryak, will soon be opened in Kryukivshchyna. This will be an important step in the development of Greco-Roman wrestling in the region, as the new hall will provide children with more opportunities and space for training.

Up to a hundred children will be able to train in the new facility. There will be showers, a room for coaches, and a place for parents where they can watch their children's training sessions on screens. The goal of the hall is to create comfortable conditions for the trainees and to develop their skills. Oleksandr Buryak notes that this hall creates an environment where every child can feel support and motivation, as the main goal is to develop new champions.

The History of the Club

The idea to open a hall for Greco-Roman wrestling in Kryukivshchyna came up in 2014. Oleksandr Buryak, along with wrestlers from Donetsk and Luhansk regions, decided to create a free section for children, responding to the needs of youth during the war. They decided it was important to give children the opportunity to engage in sports.

Since the creation of the 'Kryukivshchyna' sports club, many champions have been raised. Among them are medalists of the Ukrainian and European championships, which confirms the high quality of training and the professionalism of the coaches. Buryak believes that with the new hall, the club will reach even greater heights.

Opinions of Coaches and Trainees

Honored coach Dmytro Pikalov notes that all club members have the opportunity to train and feel the support of each other. Doctor Oleh Vasylenko supports Oleksandr Buryak's initiative, seeing how the children grow and become stronger.

European Championship silver medalist Danyiil Melnychuk says that training is very exhausting, but the support of the coach is key to success. Head of the parent committee Vladyslav Lavrov emphasizes that his son has become more confident in himself thanks to the club, where they teach the importance of team support.

Girls also train at the club. Coach Lyubov Shvets notes that although girls have to face certain challenges, this helps them become stronger. They learn not only technique but also self-confidence.

Coaches at the club emphasize the importance of physical exercise in developing resilience and patriotism in children. Currently, renovations are ongoing in the new hall, and coaches hope for a prompt opening, which will be an important step in the development of sports in Kryukivshchyna.
