The ranking of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine

The Ukrainian edition of Forbes has compiled a ranking of businessmen who paid the most taxes from their personal wealth.

The publication analyzed the total amount of paid personal income tax over the last three years (2012-2014). This period was chosen to mitigate the impact of political circumstances: some previously successful businessmen became irrelevant after the change of power in Ukraine, leaving the country.

Thus, most positions in the ranking were occupied by controversial businessmen or individuals far removed from big business - athletes. The first position for paid taxes went to the richest person in Ukraine, Rinat Akhmetov, who paid 379.796 million hryvnias in personal income tax over three years.

In second place is Boris Kolесnikov, the founder of the confectionery company Konti and the pig farming holding company APK-Invest (164.081 million hryvnias). Closing the top three is boxer Volodymyr Klitschko, who paid 75.979 million hryvnias in personal income tax.

Also in the top ten is the former head of the bankrupt agricultural holding Mriya, Mykola Huta, who is currently hiding abroad. The current president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, ranked 10th. It should be noted that earlier it was reported that taxes in Ukraine are twice as high as those in the Russian Federation.

Akhmetov dropped out of the list of influential people in the world

The highlighted ranking of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine reflects the significance of the financial contributions of certain prominent individuals to the country. Despite the complicated tax system, businessmen remain active in paying taxes, contributing to the development of the economy.
