Ex-Talent from Newcastle, Nile Ranger, leaves the club: What really happened.
Nile Ranger leaves Kettering Town
According to The Sun: The former Newcastle striker, Nile Ranger, has amicably left Kettering Town after a year with the team.
At 34 years old, Ranger gained popularity at Newcastle, where he was considered a promising player. However, his career was jeopardized by numerous scandals and legal troubles.
Getty Instagram / @nilepowerrangerFans believe that his performances at Kettering were successful. He scored 18 goals in all competitions, including the winning goal in the FA Cup match against Northampton.
The club announced his departure and emphasized that Ranger 'will be remembered forever' for his great performances against Northampton. They wished him success in his future career and noted that he will always be welcome at the club.
“The club wishes Nile much success in his career, and Nile knows that he has a family that will always be happy to see him back at Latimer Park,”
said club owner George Akhtar, thanking Ranger for the vibrant memories he left in the hearts of fans.
Nevertheless, Ranger hinted at possible issues within the club by sharing a post from X about his departure:
“Sorry, even if what happened at the club has happened @NilePowerRanger. Many questions need to be answered. You will always be a legend of Kettering and a hero for my children. All the best for everything you will do in the future.”
He also shared a comment stating that there was “nothing amicable about his departure.”
This is just the latest scandal in Ranger's career, who once earned £10,000 a week at Newcastle. His legal troubles began in his youth when he was convicted for his involvement in an armed robbery.
Reflecting on his difficult life and career, he recalled:
“I invited all my friends from London to Newcastle for parties. I had more money than sense. I was living life in the fast lane.”
