Dismissal of former BBC expert
According to The Sun: Former BBC expert Steve Claridge has left his position at a club that competes in a non-professional league. Claridge, 59, took charge of Weymouth in August. However, the team's poor results threatened its place in the league. In the last 11 matches, the team recorded only one victory and suffered three consecutive defeats, the last of which was at home.
“I try to impart my knowledge and experience, but, as you know, anything can happen in sports”
This dismissal came as a result of the team's unsatisfactory performance, which raised concerns among fans and club management. Now Weymouth has to look for a new coach to try to avoid a repeat relegation and improve their performance.
