According to The Sun: James Chester has unexpectedly returned to Manchester United, 14 years after leaving the club.

He is a graduate of the 'Red Devils' academy and has successfully played in the Premier League and the Championship.

Chester, who is currently 36 years old, left 'United' in 2011, having progressed through the club's youth academy.

In 2007, he was awarded the academy player of the year title, helping the team reach the FA Youth Cup final.

Although the team lost to Liverpool U18, it did not prevent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from awarding Chester.

He also played for the first team of 'United' under Sir Alex Ferguson, appearing in a League Cup winning match against Derby County in 2009.

Chester played 23 minutes, replacing Gary Neville in the semi-final, as 'United' defeated 'Tottenham' in a penalty shootout at Wembley.

He later moved to 'Hull City', which Ferguson described as 'a complete bargain'.

Chester then played for 'West Bromwich Albion', 'Aston Villa', 'Stoke City', 'Derby', 'Barrow', and 'Salford', ending his career earlier this year.

After retiring, Chester returned to 'Old Trafford', but not as a player, rather in a coaching role.

According to MEN, he was invited to the academy training by close friend Paul McShane.

McShane left 'United' after five years this summer, but Chester may get the chance to work in the club.

Specifically, it is reported that he has worked with the U15 and U16 teams at 'Carrington'.

It is known that he works at the club on a 'voluntary basis' and visits the training ground three times a week.

Chester is also working on obtaining a UEFA B license.

During his career, Chester's peak moment was the FA Cup final in 2014, where he scored for Hull against Arsenal.

Unfortunately, his team lost as the 'Gunners' equalized from 0:2 to 3:2.

Chester also has 35 caps for the Wales national team.

He was part of the team that reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, shocking Belgium with a 3:1 victory in the quarter-finals.
