Former Premier League forward Jordan Rhodes retires: what’s next.

According to The Sun: The former English Premier League player announced his retirement after an 18-year career in football.
However, the ex-striker soon returned to sports, becoming part of one of the clubs he had previously played for.

This is Jordan Rhodes, who today announced his retirement.
Rhodes, 35, decided to end his football journey after a year spent at Blackpool.
According to the BBC, shortly after retiring, Rhodes was invited to Blackburn Rovers, where he took on a new role.
He became the new loan manager at Rovers.
This appointment came after Rhodes completed his loan at Mansfield Town, where he spent the second half of last season.
The career of the Scottish-born Englishman began in 2007 at Ipswich Town, where he moved after a two-year stint in the club’s youth team.
During two years at Ipswich, he also played on loan at Oxford United, Rochdale, and Brentford.
Later, Rhodes played for Huddersfield and Blackburn, and in 2016 signed with Middlesbrough, where he played six matches in the Premier League.
The talented player from Oldham spent one year at Middlesbrough, with the second half on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, which secured a permanent deal with him in 2017.
Rhodes' four-year spell at Hillsborough also included a loan at Norwich.
Now in a new role
The former striker returned to Huddersfield in 2021, and after two years was loaned to Blackpool, which signed him on a permanent basis in 2024.
Rhodes made his decision to retire after significant experiences at various clubs where he showcased his football talents. Now, in his new role, the ex-player has the opportunity to pass on his knowledge and experience to young athletes, which could greatly influence their development in professional football.
Retirement always brings mixed feelings, but Rhodes has once again found his place in the sports world, continuing to impact the development of the game from a new position.
