The Heritage Festival in Great Britain kicks off: 6000 free events in September.
Celebrate Britain's heritage for free
According to The Sun: This month, Britain invites you to free events that will help you learn more about its captivating heritage.
FAMILY FUN: Visit the Heritage Open Days festival, which will take place from September 12 to 21.
You can expect free entertainment for all ages – from participating in a family court case at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham to a silent disco in Newton Minster on the Isle of Wight.
Most events are open to everyone.
FREE FOR ALL: All 6000 events are free, even those that usually require payment.
For example, a family visiting Corfe Castle in Dorset on September 20-21 can save up to £35 on a regular ticket.
The festival is organized by the National Trust with support from the People's Postcode Lottery. Heritage Open Days also provide the opportunity to visit many places that are usually not open to the public, such as the Cadbury archives in Bournville, Birmingham.
