France announced its official position on Zelensky's Victory Plan.
France supports Ukraine's Victory Plan and is ready to provide assistance in any volume. This was stated by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot during a press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha. According to him, France has been alongside Ukraine for thousands of days and is making necessary efforts. "We support the victory plan because for thousands of days we have been alongside Ukraine and providing necessary support," said the minister. He also noted that France supports the Ukrainian plan not only in the military field but is also ready to provide support in civil and economic areas. During the initiation of peace talks, France is also ready to stand in support of Ukraine. "At every stage of its struggle, we must provide support so that it can withstand the aggressor. And when it decides and how it will do it, we can open negotiations for peace. These issues were discussed during President Zelensky's visit. Also, our Ukrainian partners are discussing this," added the French Foreign Minister.
In turn, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha emphasized that France supports the victory plan and contributes to its implementation. "We had a private conversation where we exchanged views on additional steps for the practical implementation of Zelensky's victory plan. The minister also told me about the outcome of the 'quartet' meeting, which took place recently in Germany. The future implementation of the victory plan was one of the key issues," he emphasized.
Recall that Zelensky has defined conditions for peace negotiations with Russia.
