Frankie Bridge spoke about her battle with depression The star of the show 'LOOSE Women' Frankie Bridge shared candid and emotional videos that showcase her long battle with depression. The Saturdays singer, who is 36 years old, posted two videos on Instagram in which she revealed the everyday challenges related to her mental health. 'Sometimes this is what depression looks like. You sit all day on the couch in your pajamas. And then you get so fundamentally sick of your own sh*t that you finally gather the strength to go to the gym. Quick shower and back to the couch and pajamas. Better than nothing,' - a quote from the video. In the first clip, Frankie can be seen walking through her garden, captioning it with a vulnerable comment. She appeared close to tears and wrote in the caption: 'I spent a lot of time succumbing to psychological bullying and feeling exhausted by the noise in my head. Today it tells me I am worthless.' The mother of two, who is married to former English footballer Wayne Bridge, has never hidden her openness about her mental health. She has openly spoken about her depression and anxiety for over ten years and previously shared that she was hospitalized at her lowest point. **Frankie's Struggle and Treatment** Frankie takes medication to manage her condition and described herself as someone living with 'treatment-resistant depression' - which means she often requires a combination of medication and therapy to get through the day. She has undergone ketamine therapy, which she said helped, but it is expensive and not very accessible. The star, who initially gained fame in S Club Juniors and later joined The Saturdays, became a permanent panelist on ITV's 'LOOSE Women' in 2021. **Breaking the Stigma Around Mental Health** Frankie has previously stated that she wants to break the stigma surrounding talking about mental health issues, insisting: 'I am not weak - I am ill.' Frankie opened up about her illness in her memoir, writing: 'In my 17-20 years, I received medical help... tried three different antidepressants - Prozac, venlafaxine, and sertraline - but nothing helped for long... Fundamentally, I saw no meaning in life anymore.' **Battling Depression: Signs and Support** Depression can manifest in various ways. We all feel a little down from time to time. However, depression is persistent and can make someone feel helpless and unable to see a way out. If you feel this way, reach out to your doctor who can help you. If you or someone you know needs help with mental health issues, the following organizations provide support: - Samaritans - CALM (leading the movement against male suicide) - Papyrus (preventing youth suicide) - Shout (for support on all mental health matters) After ITV had to intervene to ease the tension between Myleene Klass, Rochelle Humes, and Frankie. Rochelle remained friends with Myleene's former bodyguard from The Saturdays. Frankie found herself in conflict as Myleene is her co-star from Loose Women.
