FIFA has reduced England's quota for the 2026 World Cup: fans will be left without tickets.
Reduction of ticket quotas for England fans
According to The Sun: FIFA has reduced the ticket quota for English fans at the World Cup playoff matches to only 3,000 tickets per game. This has become an additional inconvenience for the 'Three Lions' fans who are already facing high prices for flights and hotels during the tournament in North America.
The football world organization promised England eight percent of stadium capacity. But, if...
“...even with this number of tickets, fans are unlikely to find affordable options for travel,”
added representatives of the English Football Association.
This situation further complicates fans' travel, as they not only have to find tickets, but also consider the significant travel costs. Many fans have already expressed their outrage at such a sharp reduction in quotas and the rising costs of travel. As a result, the issue of ticket availability and the ability to support their team is becoming increasingly relevant ahead of important matches.
