Zhenya Halych Discharged from Military Service

According to Glamurchik — Шоу-біз: The lead vocalist of the Ukrainian rock band O.Torvald, Zhenya Halych, is no longer serving in the military. He has been granted veteran status after developing significant health problems during his time with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Halych spent nearly four months hospitalized, and his discharge followed a nine-month medical evaluation process.

Unfortunately, I was released due to my health condition. It happened that after our last missions, I could no longer take an active part in combat and spent a considerable amount of time in the hospital—almost four months. After nine months of examinations, I was discharged from service.

Public Advocacy and Civilian Work

Since leaving the military, Halych has become deeply involved in public and human rights advocacy. He now works with the non-governmental organization 'Veteran Volunteers,' where, as he explains, 'we take care of matters concerning veterans, service members, and their families who need help in civilian life. We stick together here now.'

In this way, Zhenya Halych continues to play an active role in society beyond his music career, supporting those who need assistance after military service. His shift to civic engagement could represent an important step in helping veterans transition to civilian life, especially amid Ukraine's ongoing conflict. Halych's experience may serve as an example for others facing similar challenges, highlighting the need for support and solidarity among veterans.
