Britons are losing money due to 'zombie' accounts
According to The Sun: Millions of Britons lose hundreds of pounds each year by leaving their money in 'zombie' accounts, which effectively earn nothing. According to an analysis by Paragon Bank, a staggering £316 billion is sitting in dormant current accounts, generating no income.
Another £254 billion is held in savings accounts that offer just 1.5% interest.
“By leaving money in such accounts, people miss out on opportunities to get better deals,” experts have noted.
This situation highlights the importance of financial literacy and actively managing one's savings. Britons need to be cautious and seek out those offers that can generate real returns for them instead of leaving money in stagnant accounts.
