Bellamy expressed dissatisfaction with Marsh: Wales coach wants a rematch with Canada

According to The Sun: Wales head coach Craig Bellamy expressed a desire for a rematch with Canada after criticizing Jesse Marsch for celebrating victory before the match was over.

Wales lost only for the second time in the last 12 matches under Bellamy when Derek Cornelius’ free kick gave victory to Canada in Swansea.

The 'Dragons' coach was unhappy with former Leeds boss Marsh’s behavior in stoppage time, when Wales was still trying to salvage the game.

“I’m actually not pleased because I hate losing more than I love winning,” said Bellamy.

“I saw him (Marsch) celebrating at the end. I think, 'Hope to see you at the World Cup. Hope to meet you again.'”

“But I also have to be polite. Jesse shook hands with his coaches before the whistle. I need to get used to that.”

Bellamy changed eight players from the Wales lineup compared to the previous World Cup qualifying match in Kazakhstan and also gave debuts to three newcomers: Ronan Kpakiio, Joel Colwill, and Kai Andrews.

“I need to see more of the squad. We have to go young, as we cannot sign new players,” he added.

“This is the reality. I’m living it right now. I can’t duplicate players in certain positions as we don’t have enough footballers, so we must go youth.”

“I am very aware. I want our nation to be healthy for many years, so I have to make them play.”

Wales’ next opponent will be a friendly match against England at Wembley Stadium on October 9, and four days later the team will resume their qualifying campaign against group J favorites Belgium in Cardiff.

Fulham player Harry Wilson noted: “We have to be ready when we play teams that are above us in the world rankings.”

“We have to be perfect in everything we do, as one moment can be enough to punish us.”

He also emphasized that the match against England at Wembley will be a great test for their team.

Wales is preparing for serious challenges in the upcoming friendly and qualifying matches. With the match against England at the legendary Wembley Stadium, the team hopes to showcase their best qualities. This will be an important stage in preparation for the World Cup qualifiers. Coach Bellamy emphasizes the need to use young players as the team faces strong opponents on the international stage.
