Ukrainian national team footballer spent the night in a hotel with his wife before the Euro game, – journalist.

Before the first match of the 2024 European Championship against the Romanian national team (0:3), a player of the Ukrainian national team left the location of Serhiy Rebrov's team and spent the night in a hotel with his wife. After that, the coaching staff decided to include him in the starting lineup for the match.

This incident was reported by the co-host of the "TaToTake" program Mykhailo Spivakovskyi.

From what I know, what many know in the football world, there cannot be a situation where a player goes, when there is a gathering, to a nearby hotel to meet his wife and stays there overnight before the first official game in the finals of the Euro. This cannot happen. If this happens, in any normal national team, for example, in Spain, Italy, Germany, there is a demonstrative shake-up, most likely, this player is sent away.
