Gareth Southgate may lead Manchester United: what conditions he has set.
Gareth Southgate shared his knowledge at a football summit in the USA
According to The Sun: This week, Gareth Southgate took the opportunity to share his football knowledge. The former England coach joined renowned football icons at the 11th Global Aspire Academy Summit held in the USA.
GettyThis annual event brought together people from all over the football world to exchange ideas and knowledge in various aspects of the game. The event, held in Philadelphia, concluded on Thursday and served as a platform for several prominent sports personalities to speak.
Southgate worked alongside legends such as former coach, Champions League winner Rafa Benitez and famous defender Alessandro Nesta.
“The most important thing for the development of football is the development of coaches. We are all constantly learning. Bringing people together to share experiences and ideas helps all of us grow, especially in a climate where the game is continually evolving.”
This is not the first new role that the 55-year-old Southgate has taken on since stepping away from the team in July last year. He intends to host a new podcast on BBC dedicated to interviews with successful public figures.
While his career evolves outside the football field, Southgate's future in the football world appears less certain. Recently, he was linked with a potential managerial role at Manchester United, where Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim is facing certain difficulties.
According to sources, Southgate is uncertain about this project and believes he would need four years to implement his strategy without the risk of being dismissed prematurely.
However, the two-time Euro finalist may have to wait a long time for such an opportunity, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently confirmed his support for the current 'Red Devils' coach.
Southgate continues to be actively involved in football life, initiating discussions on important aspects of developing the coaching staff. His new podcast may become yet another platform for knowledge exchange, as well as for discussing ideas that could impact the future of football. For now, all eyes are on Manchester United, where questions about management remain open.Read also
