Harris spends significantly more on the election campaign than Trump — Media.
The campaign of US presidential candidate Kamala Harris spent three times more than Donald Trump's team in August. She exceeded Trump's expenses: 174 million dollars against 61 million dollars. Harris finished the month with 235 million dollars, which is one hundred million more than Trump.
Harris has an advantage in funding and fundraising, allowing her to spend more money on the campaign. Campaign funds are spent directly by the candidates and their advisors, allowing control over expenses and getting better rates on advertising. In August, Harris's team spent $137 million on "media production" and advertising.
Harris has over 1200 employees, whereas Trump has about 320. She also outperforms him in the amount of funds raised and campaign expenditures. The Republican Party also has money, but the Democratic National Committee was in deficit at the end of the month.
External groups supporting Trump also spent more than groups supporting Harris. In August, spending on supporting Trump amounted to 163 million dollars, while supporting Harris they spent 104 million dollars.
