The head of the Holocaust memorial accused Musk of embodying the victims of Nazism.
The head of the Holocaust memorial 'Yad Vashem' in Jerusalem, Dani Dayan, accused Elon Musk of embodying the victims of Nazism and creating a threat to Germany's democratic future following his remarks on Saturday at a rally for the far-right party 'Alternative for Germany'.
'Unlike Elon Musk's advice, the memory and acknowledgment of the dark past of the country and its people must be central to shaping German society. Failing to do so is an insult to the victims of Nazism and a clear danger to Germany's democratic future,' he stated, as reported by Ukrinform.
NBC News notes that Musk appeared via video link at a campaign event for the far-right German party 'Alternative for Germany' (AfD) on Saturday ahead of parliamentary elections in the country in February.
He expressed the opinion that 'children should not be blamed for the sins of their parents, let alone their great-grandparents.'
'Too much attention is paid to past guilt, and we must move beyond this,' Musk added.
