Thousands of fighters in Ukraine have lost limbs due to a defective tourniquet.
According to inkorr.com: The Ukrainian army is facing a serious crisis, as reported by the publication 'Khvylya' based on information from The Telegraph.
Russian aggression has led to many Ukrainian soldiers returning from the front with amputated limbs, which requires prolonged medical support. However, injuries are not always caused by direct combat wounds.
The chief military surgeon of Ukraine stated: 'About a quarter of all amputations occur due to improper use of standard medical supplies - this concerns tourniquets for stopping bleeding.'
Medical assistance on the battlefield in Ukraine was organized according to the standards of the USA and their allies, who have experience from conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. However, these standards do not fully meet the requirements of modern conflict.
The impact on Ukraine's future
Experts note that the large number of amputations among young fighters may have a significant impact on future generations.
A former British Army surgeon emphasized that the consequences of the conflict in Ukraine will be felt for many years, both economically and psychologically. Many of the fighters defending the country are mobilized citizens who need physical and psychological support.
The surgeon emphasized: 'The state must be prepared to support the fighters who risk their lives defending the country as a sovereign state. Violating this unwritten contract could have serious consequences.'
Experts believe that failure to adhere to the 'terms' of this contract could have serious consequences for Ukraine's future. Earlier, there was also information about the relocation of prepared drone operators to the Kherson region by Russia.
This news highlights the serious crisis faced by the Ukrainian army due to the large number of amputations of fighters returning from the front. This can have far-reaching consequences for both the military themselves and for Ukraine's future in general, particularly in economic and psychological aspects. The authorities must make important decisions regarding the support of military personnel who risk their lives for the sake of the country.
