Playing with chebureks and papuans. The RF criticized the opponents of the Russian national football team.
According to Vladimir Ponomaryov, a former defender of CSKA and the USSR national team, the Russian team is incapable of showing anything significant regardless of the coach. He claims that matches involving the Russian national team are becoming uninteresting as they only play against 'chebureks and papuans'. Ponomaryov even stated that he would not watch these matches and suggests that other teams take away the boots from Russian players. He is also closely following the situation with international competitions and doubts that Russia will be able to return to them in 2025 due to military actions with Ukraine.
News also reports the death of former Russian national team footballer Alexey Bugayev, who was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders. Bugayev is known for his performances for 'Lokomotiv', 'Tom', and 'Krasnodar'. Earlier this year, he was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison for attempting to sell drugs.
Vasyl Lomachenko, world boxing champion, expressed his dissatisfaction with the reform of the church calendar, which, in his opinion, has divided society and led to violence. He also criticized His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and all Ukraine and expressed his dissatisfaction with freedom of worship in Ukraine.
