Ukrainian National Team Players Set Several Records in Match Against Czech Republic.
After two matches of the Ukrainian national team against Albania (1:2) and Czech Republic (2:3) within the framework of the 2024/2025 Nations League, changes occurred in the upper part of the historical ranking of national team players.
The leader of the register, Andriy Yarmolenko, currently has 124 matches for the national team, setting a new record.
Taras Stepanenko played his 86th match for the national team, trailing just one match behind Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Mykola Matvienko played his 70th match for the national team, but a tough game like against Czech Republic resulted in a decisive penalty being given against Anatoliy Trubin.
Oleksandr Zinchenko surpassed Andriy Nesmachnyi and is catching up with Andriy Vorobey in terms of the number of matches played for the national team.
Viktor Tsygankov has played 57 matches for the national team, surpassing Vyacheslav Shevchuk, Serhiy Nazarenko, and Oleksandr Kucher.
Roman Yaremchuk moved up to 55th place in the ranking with 54 matches for the national team.
