Hryhoriy Surkis receives a 'pension' from UEFA. The amount for 2024 is announced.
National deputy elected from the banned OPZZH, Hryhoriy Surkis has received income from UEFA (Union of European Football Associations). This was reported by 'Hlavkom' citing the registry of declarations.
On January 2, the politician announced significant changes in his property status, indicating 3.52 million UAH from UEFA. The purpose of these funds is stated as a payment after retirement. The money transfer to Surkis took place on December 26, 2024.
As 'Hlavkom' reported, UEFA provides financial support to its former vice-president Hryhoriy Surkis every year. In particular, in 2023 – 6.35 million UAH, in 2021 – 2.49 million UAH, in 2020 – 2.77 million UAH, and in 2019 – 5.91 million UAH.
We remind you that from 2013 to 2019, Hryhoriy Surkis held the position of vice-president of UEFA. Since 2019, he has been an honorary member of the football association.
The total income of the parliamentarian for 2023 amounted to 13.57 million UAH (in 2022 it was 3.53 million UAH). Hryhoriy Surkis kept 63.1 million UAH, 377 thousand euros, and cash – $2.3 million, 1.85 million UAH, 75 thousand euros, and 46 thousand pounds sterling in bank accounts.
In addition, the deputy stated that he lent 112.5 million UAH to his brother Ihor Surkis, better known as the owner of the football club 'Dynamo'.
