Cash assistance from UNICEF 2024: Ukrainians informed who can receive 10,800 hryvnias.
Ukrainians have been explained who and how can receive cash assistance from UNICEF in the amount of 10,800 hryvnias.
According to a report on the website unicef.org, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) continues to provide cash assistance to families who have relocated to safer areas from places where mandatory evacuation has been announced. This applies to the most vulnerable families affected by the crisis situation. The cash payment will help cover the costs of relocation and equipping a new place of residence, as well as ease their situation during relocation.
According to the provided information, cash assistance has already been received by 22,550 households, which is approximately 74,000 people, of which nearly 38,000 are children.
Cash assistance is available to families with children who have been evacuated and are vulnerable according to the following criteria:
- there is a person or child with a disability under 18 years old;
- the family has many children under 18 years old;
- there is a single mother or father;
- the family with children under 18 years old is low-income.
To receive payments and submit an application, evacuated families with children need to contact the social protection agency in their new community.
A joint project of the Ministry of Reintegration and UNICEF, which provides financial support to families with children in frontline territories of Ukraine, is also ongoing. Their households will receive financial assistance of 21,800 hryvnias to prepare for the winter period.
We remind you that Shmyhal announced the expansion of the eSupport program.
