HUR destroyed Russian Su-30SM aircraft worth $50 million.


The Special Forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine destroyed the Russian combat aircraft Su-30SM in the Black Sea using MANPADS.
This was reported by the GUR press service.
The aircraft, which crashed into the sea, belonged to the 43rd Separate Naval Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces, based at the airfield in the occupied Crimea.
According to intelligence, the Russians lost contact with the aircraft on September 11, 2024, around 5 am. After three hours, a search and rescue operation involving an An-26 aircraft, as well as Mi-8 and Ka-27 helicopters, began.
At noon, invaders reported to the command about a characteristic fuel spot in the sea, about 70 kilometers northwest of Cape Tarkhankut, and soon saw the wreckage of the destroyed Su-30SM.
The cost of such an aircraft is approximately $50 million.
GUR emphasized: 'The struggle continues! Glory to Ukraine!'
