GUR MO specialists carried out a cyber strike on the network infrastructure of the North Caucasus Federal University, which trains UAV operators, digital communication specialists, engineers and physicists for the Russian army. This was reported to UNN by a source in intelligence.

According to a source in GUR, the university supports the activities of several educational institutions in several regions of the Russian Federation, including 7 institutes.

"As a result of the operation, the internal information infrastructure of the object was hit, the target resources of the enemy (websites, databases, file stores) with a total volume of more than 150 terabytes were destroyed," the source said.

In particular, 11 websites, more than seven thousand official PCs, 135 servers and file stores were attacked.

In addition, according to the source, a series of cyberattacks were carried out on a number of targeted internet resources and file stores of enemy organizations. After gaining access to the network infrastructure, a propaganda leaflet in support of the offensive operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was published on the affected web resources.

"The result of the operation was the weakening of the educational and scientific base of the aggressor country and the ability to retrain military specialists by performing special intelligence tasks in cyberspace," added the source.

Recall that on October 2, specialists from the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a cyberattack on the Russian financial sector, in particular, on Alfa-Bank, the operator "Rostelecom" and the bank "Otkritie". This was reported by Liga.net with reference to intelligence sources. In the GUR emphasized that the attacked objects provide Russian aggression against Ukraine.

In September, Ukrainian intelligence conducted another successful cyber operation - they hacked the federal center for issuing digital signatures of the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Telegram. It is noted that the array of data received will be put up for sale, and the proceeds will be transferred to the needs of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.
