The Battle in Defense of Ukraine on the Zaporizhzhia Front. Remembering Maxim Borshuk.
Today we honor the memory of Maxim Borshuk, a 40-year-old soldier who died fighting for Ukraine on June 23, 2025, on the Zaporizhzhia front. He was born in Rivne, attended local schools, and graduated from the College of Automotive and Mechanical Technologies, where he learned the profession of electrician.
In May 2023, Maxim was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Even after being wounded and undergoing surgery on his eyes, he did not give up, saying: 'I am a fighter, I have the status of a combat participant, I have honor.'
On June 28, a farewell ceremony was held for Maxim in Rivne, where he was buried, leaving only his mother behind.
