HAMAS plans to release Russian hostages

HAMAS, a terrorist organization, plans to release Russian citizens who are hostages as an expression of gratitude to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. A member of the political bureau of the movement, Musa Abu Marzouk, made a statement about this.

He wrote on social media that they have not yet released any Israeli man in Gaza, except for the Russian Ron Krivoy, whom they released as an expression of gratitude to Putin. He also said that today they would release several other Russian citizens who are not part of the ceasefire agreement.

In October, a HAMAS delegation held negotiations in Moscow with a member of the political bureau, Musa Abu Marzouk. Abu Marzouk stated that Russia is a friendly country with which the movement is ready to consult on various issues. He also confirmed that HAMAS plans to release all civilian hostages and foreign detainees who are not Israeli citizens.

Recall that on November 26, HAMAS released a hostage with Russian citizenship as a gesture of gratitude to Russia for their support of the Palestinian cause. This information was reported in The Times of Israel.

The Director of Regional Operations for the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Near and Middle East, Fabrizio Carboni, reported that HAMAS hostages are located in the Gaza Strip on the battlefield. This complicates the organization's work in this area. He also expressed regret that HAMAS denied the Red Cross the opportunity to visit Israeli hostages, and Israel did not grant access to Palestinian prisoners. A representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross noted that their organization continues to negotiate with Israeli officials.
