Benefits for Ukrainians with Chronic Back Pain: How to Get Assistance.
Help for Those Suffering from Back Pain
According to The Sun: If you suffer from back pain, you may be eligible for additional financial assistance of up to £9,000 per year.
People with chronic or long-term illnesses can receive financial support.
SWNSPersonal Independence Payments (PIP) are intended for individuals with long-term physical or mental health conditions and disabilities.
This assistance can significantly boost your income, regardless of whether you are working or not.
PIP includes two components: daily living, for those who need help with daily tasks, and mobility, for those who need assistance with moving around.
The total amount of payments can reach £187.45 per week, so if you haven't applied yet, check your eligibility for assistance.
The Department of Social Services does not provide a specific list of conditions that qualify for PIP, but how your condition affects your daily life may be the basis for receiving assistance.
They will assess how difficult it is for you to perform everyday tasks.
For each task, they will consider whether you can perform it safely, how much time it takes, and how often your condition impacts this activity.
They will also look at whether you need help or additional equipment.
Who Can Apply for PIP
To receive this assistance, you must be 16 years or older.
You also need to have a long-term condition that can be physical or mental.
You should expect the issues to last for at least 12 months from when they started.
Applicants may receive PIP alongside other benefits, such as Universal Credit.
If you have reached retirement age, you can apply for Attendance Allowance instead of PIP.
Even if you have previously received PIP, you can still submit a new application if you met the criteria in the year leading up to reaching retirement age.
How Much You Can Receive
The amount of the payment depends on the severity of your condition.
Those receiving the lower daily living component will get £73.90 per week, while those receiving the high rate may get £110.40.
You may also receive the mobility component of PIP if you need help when going out or moving around. The weekly rate for this component is either £29.20 or £77.05.
Payments are usually made every four weeks directly to your bank account and are tax-free.
How to Apply
You can apply for PIP by phone by calling the new hotline at 0800 917 2222.
To apply, you will need the following information:

Moreover, PIP opens the doors to other forms of social support that can be beneficial for those with long-term illnesses or disabilities.
