Fabio Wardley: Who is the British Boxer Dreaming of Replacing Fury and Joshua.
Fabio Wardley - the New Star of British Boxing
According to The Sun: Fabio Wardley, a 30-year-old boxer from Ipswich, is aiming to fill the void left by Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua in British boxing.
Fifteen years ago, he worked in a recruitment agency before stepping into a professional career through some amateur fights in Suffolk.
GettyNow he boasts 19 wins and one draw after an impressive knockout victory in the 10th round against Justice Huni in June. He is believed to be just a few steps away from making a name for himself on the big stage.
Fight Against Joseph Parker
The fight on October 25 against former world champion Joseph Parker could be his chance to establish himself among the elite of British boxing, while legends Joshua and Fury ponder the end of their careers.
In a conversation with journalists, Wardley remarked:
“I want to be the main name. I believe I fit well into this discussion, but there is still much to achieve.'
He added:
“I am proud to carry part of this burden on my shoulders and strive to please the fans by participating in fights they want to see.'
Wardley's Career
Wardley has been engaging in exciting fights since 2022 when he won the British champion title, and he plans his journey towards the world championship title, including the WBA title held by Oleksandr Usyk.
He noted:
“I should have lost 10 fights ago. People say I am living on borrowed time, but I am just adding bigger pieces to my career and I am only winning so far.'
