US-Iran Tensions Reach a Critical Phase

According to UATV: The confrontation between the United States and Iran is entering a decisive stage, according to U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who spoke at a briefing on March 31. He emphasized that Washington is seeing its options expand while Tehran’s are shrinking. Hegseth stated:

“The coming days will be decisive. Iran knows this. And militarily, there is very little they can do about it.”

He acknowledged that Iran will continue launching missiles, but insisted the U.S. will keep intercepting them. The defense secretary also noted that over the previous 24 hours, Iran had launched its lowest number of missiles and drones.

“On the battlefield, thanks to the operational freedom granted by the president, American firepower is only increasing. And Iran’s? It is decreasing. We have more and more options, while they have fewer and fewer,”
Hegseth added.

Readiness for Dialogue

Meanwhile, on March 29, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed his country’s willingness to host talks between the United States and Iran. These developments come amid escalating regional tensions, where actions by both sides could carry serious consequences for international security.

Hegseth’s remarks signal an intensification of military operations and a strategic contest between Washington and Tehran that could profoundly impact stability across the Middle East. Pakistan’s offer to mediate may reflect a desire by some nations to play a bridging role, potentially helping to de-escalate the situation. However, given the current military dynamics and existing threats, risks to global security remain high.
