The Skeleton Brothers Announce Victory Plan: 10 Horses That Will Change the Season.
According to The Sun: Harry Skelton presented a list of ten horses to watch from his brother Dan's stable as they prepare to compete against Willie Mullins.
Last year, the Irish trainer narrowly edged out Skelton in a heated championship battle, but this season the Stratford brothers have a strong lineup that includes several promising contenders.
Among them stands out Louis Veron, with owner Brian Drew having high hopes and considering him a 'potential winner.'
This four-year-old gelding made an impressive debut at Chepstow, where he was narrowly beaten by the experienced Frontier Prince.
Brian has a history of success with winning jockeys, having previously part-owned the King George winner Bravemansgame.
Given this, don't expect Louis Veron to be a 20-1 shot next time out.
Harry believes that today his victory is just a matter of time, as he is geared up for middle-distance races, possibly at Ballymore, now known as Turners, later in the season.
Harry told Star Sports: “He started very well at Chepstow last Friday and has always shown good form.”
“I don't think he needs deep winter ground, but I hope he becomes a confident winner.'
Other Prospects
Mydaddypaddy currently has odds of 20-1 for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, but Harry feels he should step up in trip.
“We have a big group of novices, and this horse has always shown us great potential,” he added.
Best of the Rest
From Harry Skelton
Grey Dawning
He is in good form at home and has become more resilient. We will compete in all leading races, hoping to win Grade One.
Protektorat
This horse has become a legend. He will run in Charlie Hall if the weather allows.
Keops Des Bordes
We consider him a promising middle-distance novice with great potential.
Sheezer Dancer
She showed a good debut at Cheltenham and will go for the mares' novice route.
Kadastral
After winning at Goffs bumper in Newbury, we believe he is a future chaser.
Mr Hope Street
This year he will start in novices, hoping for a rating boost above 128.
Sallyville Lady
She is still not well known but has won on heavy ground.
Consistent gelding The New Lion, who won Ballymore last season, seems set to be the stable's main horse.
His goal is the Champion Hurdle, where he is currently favored.
Harry said: “He had a perfect novice season, and we dream of the Champion Hurdle.”
“The weather will determine our path to the goal, but that's where we're aiming.”
“In our view, it's quite an open category, but we are respectful of the transition from novices to main competitions.”
“We hope he can handle the new challenges, as he is a calm horse.”
“He has a chance to succeed, so we are very excited about the upcoming season.”
The competitions the Skelton brothers' horses are preparing for draw significant attention, as they feature many promising competitors. Watching the development of these athletes and their performances in upcoming races will be extremely interesting. Award-winning trainer Harry Skelton also emphasizes that this season could be a real sensation. Fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the races and hoping for impressive results.
