Curry’s allows customers to exchange unwanted gadgets for vouchers of at least £10 for in-store purchases.

The promotion has already started, and vouchers can be used until December 30.

Customers can redeem them both in stores and online when making purchases of £50 or more.

According to the 'Cash for Trash' project, vouchers previously cost £5 but have now been increased to help customers save.

Exchanging old items allows not only to gain benefits but also to responsibly dispose of unwanted electronic devices.

If the traded items are worth more than £10, customers can use Curry’s trade-in program, which offers gift cards or cash based on the value of the device.

In the last financial year, customers received an average of £137 through this initiative.

The 'Cash for Trash' program is part of Curry’s efforts directed at extending the lifespan of technology. Collected items are repaired, refurbished, broken down into parts, or responsibly recycled.

The store also has a repair and recycling center in Nottingham, where efforts are ongoing to address the growing problem of electronic waste in the UK.

Curry’s Chief People, Communications and Sustainability Officer, Paula Coughlan, stated: “We are pleased to double the reward customers can receive when they recycle their old tech, offering this enhanced campaign for the second time this year.”
“We all need to contribute to solving the issue of electronic waste in the UK, and through our Cash for Trash initiative, Curry’s can play an important role in raising awareness, improving recycling rates, and helping customers get a little boost ahead of Christmas.”
Circular Economy Minister Mary Creagh added: “This Plan for Change commits to cleaning up the UK and creating an economy where things are designed to last longer and are recycled when they no longer work.”

Thus, Curry’s campaign is a beneficial way to get rid of old electronic appliances and save on new products.

Additionally, Apple also offers the option to trade in old gadgets, which allows reducing the price of new devices. You can trade in old gadgets like watches, iPads, and Macs in stores or online. The main thing is to remember to delete all data before handing over the devices.

CeX also provides the opportunity to receive cash or vouchers for a wide range of technology items, offering evaluations for unwanted items both in stores and online.
