Closure of shoe store network
According to The Sun: Shoe Zone has closed 39 of its stores due to low sales ahead of the autumn budget. The number of its sales points decreased from 297 to 269 over the 52 weeks ending in September 2025. During this period, the retailer closed 39 stores while opening 11 new locations.
“We will continue our strategy of optimizing our network to improve financial performance,” the company representatives stated.
The contraction of Shoe Zone's store network reflects the overall challenges faced by retail in modern conditions. The economic situation and changes in consumer habits compel businesses to adapt to new realities. However, the opening of new locations indicates the company's attempts to maintain competitiveness and improve financial performance in challenging market conditions.
