Bread prices will rise by 25%: expert names reasons for the increase.
Increase in bread prices in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The All-Ukrainian Agricultural Council reported a possible increase in bread prices in Ukraine by 25%. This increase is not related to the grain harvest. Deputy head of the council Denys Marchuk noted that the main reasons for the increase in prices are costs for electricity, logistics, wages, and inflation.
It is very important to understand that farmers only grow grain, which is raw material. And when we see ready bread on the shelves of stores, it has already gone through a large number of production cycles. In the cost of bread, the price of grain accounts for no more than 20-25%, and Ukraine this year has almost the same harvest as last year...
According to Marchuk, inflation in the food group reaches 22%. Costs for electricity, logistics, and fuel continue to rise, as well as the need to increase wages. Additionally, the exchange rate of the dollar and euro affects the cost of imported equipment for enterprises.
The All-Ukrainian Agricultural Council confirms that bread prices may rise due to increased costs for energy, wages, and other factors unrelated to the grain harvest.
The increase in bread prices is an important topic, as bread is a staple food for many Ukrainians. In conditions of rising inflation and increased production costs, consumers should prepare for a possible rise in the price of this product. Farmers and producers hope for market stabilization and cost reduction in the future, but for now, the situation remains tense. It is important to monitor further changes in the market.
