Natalie also added: “It doesn’t matter who supplies your electricity – everyone is invited as long as you have a smart meter. But don’t waste time; the deadline is the end of October.”

Launching support funds

This campaign comes amid a 2% increase in electricity prices from October 1, meaning average bills are rising by £77 a month. In October, households on standard electricity tariffs are likely to pay around £140, compared to £63 in September.
