The report provides examples of similar murders. Intelligence believes that the perpetrators are Russian special services, and the murders were sanctioned by Putin.

The Kremlin is interested in political and opposition leaders from former Soviet republics who are considered a threat.

The report mentions the poisoning of Yushchenko in 2004 when he was a presidential candidate.

The report reveals details of four known murders: Yandarbiyev in 2004 in Qatar, Litvinenko in 2006 in London, Perepilichnyy in 2012 in the UK, and Bednov in 2015.

The US National Intelligence document asserts that Moscow systematically uses intelligence services to eliminate individuals considered a threat to the Russian regime.

Intelligence experts are confident that such murders will continue.
