Popular ice cream flavor returns to shelves

According to The Sun: The major ice cream company has once again introduced a beloved flavor that fans consider the "best." Tesco has begun selling Haagen-Dazs Peanut Butter Crunch tubs.

Haagen-Dazs

This flavor was discontinued in 2020, but it has now returned in limited supply. The ice cream contains peanut butter, peanut sauce, and caramelized peanut chunks.

460-milliliter tubs are sold for £5.75, but it is unknown how long they will remain on the shelves.

Customer feedback

One customer shared the news on Facebook in the Dansway Gifts and Bargains group, stating: “I love this flavor so much, glad it’s back.”

This flavor first appeared in 2018 but quickly disappeared in 2020. At that time, customers were "shocked" by this decision, and Haagen-Dazs received numerous requests to bring back this flavor. This was confirmed by one fan asking on X: “Please tell me, didn’t you discontinue peanut ice cream in the UK?”

“Unfortunately, the Peanut Butter Crunch packaging was recently discontinued. We considered your request to bring it back. However, we still produce Peanut Butter Crunch ice cream in stick form!”

In the following years, Peanut Butter Crunch fans continued to reach out to the brand on Twitter. “Please bring it back! One of the best flavors along with cookie ice cream. It was the best!!” – one of them wrote.

Another user expressed their disappointment: “I’m really upset about this! It’s slowly vanished from all the stores. There’s no peanut butter ice cream on the market that’s as delicious as this.”

Another fan added: “Please bring back the Peanut Butter Crunch ice cream. I just loved it, it’s my favorite, I don’t eat anything else. I was very disappointed when I saw its disappearance from the shelves.”

Other users also expressed their disappointment, calling it “the best ice cream.” Although Haagen-Dazs continued to release Peanut Butter Crunch in stick form, it seems these were also discontinued. These sticks had peanut butter ice cream and peanut swirl, dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with roasted peanuts.

Return of beloved snacks

Loss of a favorite snack can be a sad event (RIP Mars Delight). However, sometimes brands bring back products due to demand.

Recently, Mars reinstated its White Chocolate Maltesers after 11 years off the shelves. Fans of Quality Street also happily welcomed the return of the beloved chocolate bar.

A Green Triangle-style bar was recently spotted in Asda. Meanwhile, Greggs has resumed selling the Vegan Steak Bake, although it is now called the Vegan Lattice.

Thus, the return of Haagen-Dazs Peanut Butter Crunch is an example of how manufacturers respond to consumer wishes. Fans celebrating the return of their favorite flavor can now enjoy it while it lasts in stores. Such instances of returning popular products show how important it is for brands to maintain a connection with their audience and respond to their desires.
