Staff reductions at TGI Fridays
According to The Sun: Hundreds of workers in the UK's hospitality sector may find themselves unemployed due to the owner of TGI Fridays intending to buy a streamlined version of the iconic restaurant. The company Sugarloaf TGIF Management, which only two months ago gained control of the brand, plans to undergo a 'pre-pack administration' process.
'We expect to finalize a deal in the near future...'
These changes will deal a serious blow to the labor market in the hospitality sector, as job cuts always cause anxiety among workers and their families.
These events threaten not only jobs but also the overall stability of the industry, which has already undergone significant changes due to the pandemic. Restaurant staff hope for a positive outcome and the possibility of retaining their jobs.
