Nottingham Forest has sacked Nuno Espírito Santo: Ange Postecoglou appointed as successor.
Sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo from Nottingham Forest
According to The Sun: Roy Keane believes that Nuno Espírito Santo, the former Nottingham Forest manager, knew what he was getting into when he joined the club.
Club owner Evangelos Marinakis sacked the Portuguese coach on Monday evening.
ALAMYThe new manager is former Tottenham coach Ange Postecoglou.
The situation for Nuno began to complicate in mid-last month when he acknowledged that his relationship with the owner had soured.
Thus, the news of his sacking was not a surprise for Roy Keane, a former Forest player.
“I am not surprised. Why should we be surprised by what’s happening at Nottingham Forest? I think we know what their owner is like. Nothing strange.”
“And I have no sympathy for any manager who goes to Forest. Listen, you will be under pressure with that owner. So I certainly was not surprised when they sacked him. Yes, it’s tough.”

New Nottingham Forest manager
Postecoglou, 60, took over the team just three months after being sacked by Tottenham, where he recently won the Europa League.
Marinakis believes that the Australian is the right person to lead the club to success in the Midlands.
“We are bringing in a coach who has a proven track record of winning trophies. His work with top-level teams, as well as his desire to create a special story with Forest, makes him an ideal candidate to help us on our journey to stable achievement of ambitions.”
Nottingham Forest will kick off the Postecoglou era on Saturday with an away match against Arsenal, one of the title contenders.
These events at Nottingham Forest signal a new stage in the club's history. After the sacking of Nuno Espírito Santo and the appointment of Ange Postecoglou, the club hopes to find stability and return to the fight for higher spots in the league table. We look forward to the debut of the new manager who could bring a fresh perspective and new strategies to the team.
